  • Undergraduate courses in Screenwriting.
  • Courses cover workshops on structure, character development, format, as well as discussion of various films from all genres. Various in-class writing exercises used as prompts to develop the various aspects of storytelling.
  • Course goal: to complete Act One of an original screenplay, focusing on the initial draft and the process of rewriting.

  • Led workshops on character, structure, and storytelling for 25+ high school drama students, freshmen to seniors.
  • Ran feedback sessions on new play development of students' work based on Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process.
  • Discussed work one-on-one with students in the classroom.

  • Led workshops on character, structure, and storytelling for 15+ high school drama students.

Playwright-in-Residence, Teacher @ Northern Stage Theatre Company School

February – May 2009

  • Modified curricula to teach students the fundamentals in crafting a well-made play.
  • Led workshops on character, structure, and storytelling for over 550 5th and 6th grade students in the Vermont and New Hampshire area.
  • Provided written feedback on students' work, as well as discussed work one-on-one with students in the classroom.
  • Chose 10 semi-finalists from over 550 ten-minute plays to be produced in the New England Primary Playwrights Festival at the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, VT.
  • Supervised the young playwrights in rehearsals with professional actors, directors, and designers.
